Call for Papers

The CONAT International Congress is a traditional scientific event initiated by Transilvania University since 1965. At the previous 11 editions of the Congress, valuable scientific papers were presented, by teaching staff of the technical universities, as well as by specialists working in the design and research departments, manufacturing companies or in the operation division of automotive transport companies. The Congress intends to facilitate a profitable exchange of information among specialists in automotive and transport engineering, and to discuss the new challenges that are facing the automotive industry over the future.

In order to propose a presentation for the Congress, the first step is to submit an abstract.

Abstracts of up to 500 words must be written in English. The abstract must contain the following information:

  • Name, affiliation and contact details of author and coauthors: phone number, fax, email, mailing address;
  • The objectives of the paper;
  • Process by which the conclusions were reached;
  • Tentative title;
  • Selection of one session codes listed above.

Abstracts must be submitted online on the congress website.

Author Guidelines

The submission will have two phases:

1 - submission of an extended abstract

2 - submission of the final paper.

Both the abstract and the final paper will be peer-reviewed.

1 - Submitting the abstract

The abstract should be submitted online, using the online submission system. Additional files may be uploaded (using also the online submission system), but are not mandatory. There are no formatting instruction for the abstract, since it is simple text.

The abstract should contain at least the following:

- target of paper

- methods and equipment used

- expected results.

Based on the abstract, the scientiffic committee will decide to invite the author to submit the final paper, or not.

2 - Submitting the final paper

The Guidelines for preparation of the full text articles for the Proceedings volume are in concordance with Springer’s standard format.

The accepted format is Microsoft Word (doc or docx).

Preferred length of paper: 6-8 pages. (A paper should not exceed 8 pages.)

Language: American English.

 

Consent to publish

For each paper, the corresponding author should download, sign and upload the consent to publish. Please upload the signed file as a supplementary file, when submitting your final paper.
